Happy 3 months, Maddie!
Hard to believe she’s already so old. She smiles easily and often now. She’s made a few small giggles over the past couple of days–we’re close to a full-on belly laugh, I just know it. Everyone tells me how delectable her chubby, chubby thighs are. She is simply a joy machine.
We’re working on some neck stretching and strengthening exercises, and hoping that as she grows and builds up her neck muscles, her torticollis will clear up on its own without intervention. The torticollis, or tendency for her head to tilt to the right side, may be the result of a birth injury, since she was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck a couple of times. I think I’m already seeing some improvement since I’ve begun more actively helping her stretch and work the muscles in her neck, but it’s hard to tell. We’ll just keep an eye on it.

Both of my girls had torticollis and it cleared up on its own with both of them. Hopefully, she won’t need any formal physical therapy. Happy 3 months Maddie!
she’s sooo yummy. and, of course, the light is gorgeous in this photo.
