Sunrise Ruby

Dear Ben,

It’s so exciting watching you grow and develop. You smile at me when I talk to you now, and you’re making your first vowel sounds. You’re getting really good at holding your head up, and you love to stare at your own hands. Today you reached for and grabbed a toy for the first time–your green froggy rattle with the blue flapper feet. You are getting to be such a big boy already. Sometimes I still fear for you, since you were born so early, but you keep showing me how strong and wonderful you are. I love you.
